Happy New Year, y'all!
2020 is here, and I couldn't be more excited and grateful about yet another fresh start.
I'll admit - I love making resolutions. Sure, we can make a resolution any day of the week, but there's something about the first day of the year that gives me a renewed sense of hope.
A few days ago, I was talking with a girlfriend about resolutions. During our conversation, my friend told me about her new commitment - training for her first half-marathon. I'm thrilled for her, and I know she will totally crush her goal! She's the type of person that achieves everything she sets her mind to, so much so that she's already jumped head-first into her goal, beginning with daily outdoor runs.
"Ashli, even though it's a few months away, I'm really looking forward to this race," she said, "but I would be lying if I said my body wasn't already aching."
I felt her pain through the phone and could only imagine what she's endured since beginning her training.
