As we enter the summer months, we're seizing the abundance of aloe vera, which helps soothe irritation and prevent dryness. Plus, we're utilizing one of our favorite ingredients, ginger, which is packed with over 40 antioxidants that help fight signs of aging by increasing circulation for firmer skin. Add fresh basil to the mix, and you just added another ingredient that helps prevent acne breakouts.
You may be wondering, "Why use ice?"
Well, ice reduces puffiness and redness associated with tired skin. Ice also promotes firmness to helps smooth wrinkles. Lastly, it helps reduce inflammation associated with everything from acne to dry skin.

Basil and Aloe Ice Facial
Fresh basil leaves
In a blender, combine equal parts distilled water and aloe vera in a blender until homogenous.
Add water, ginger, and basil to the blender. Do not blend, simply add. Then, add the aloe vera blend to the pitcher (do not blend) and stir well with a spoon.
Pour into the ice tray and freeze overnight.
Tip: Always perform this facial on a freshly cleaned and toned face. Follow up with a light serum (Cranberry + Perilla) or moisturizer and SPF.
